"Before Ed and I were even engaged we knew that our wedding was going to take place somewhere magical outside of the United States.  Both of our families are from the Southern parts of Italy, Ed's from just outside Naples and mine just north of Bari.  We wanted to bring our families and friends back to where our heritage began.  After traveling through Italy the summer we got engaged, we knew upon our arrival to Borgo Pignano that this was to be the place we would get married.  There was a magical feeling each and every time we arrived at Borgo Pignano.  From the grounds and architecture to the people and food, we couldn't have felt more at home anywhere else.

Our wedding was a picture perfect day, and wouldn't have been possible without the Borgo Pignano staff, our wonderful planners at Floe Weddings, and Edoardo with his extensive team.  Each played an integral in making our wedding effortless and extremely special.  My father loves to recount how he was sitting outside of his villa enjoying the Tuscan morning when he heard a soft buzzing in the air.  As he looked up, he saw a drone floating about and a group of men swiftly moving about under the direction of Edoardo.  As my father says, it reminded him of an old-time Federico Fellini film.  He knew we were in good hands!

I wouldn't change a moment of our day, Edoardo and his team were there for every special moment of our day.  Edoardo took the time to walk Borgo Pignano's vast property, finding the most perfect location for our first look.  A spot that was private, intimate and saturated in the late afternoon November sun.  There was a warmth and peacefulness at that moment that I will never forget.  Edoardo showed me in these small gestures that he truly cares about his clients, and will take what they want and make it so much more than they expect.  He is truly a masterful artist in his craft, we are so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Edoardo and his team for our dream wedding in Tuscany. " Kaitlin, the bride

From the United States to a small village in the Tuscan countryside, near Volterra: Borgo Pignano. A magical, fascinating place, absolutely suitable for a wedding ceremony and venue. Everything took place in Borgo Pignano: the preparation of the bride and bridesmaids in a suite in the main body of the building; the groom in a farmhouse next to the castle; guests in the apartments that are part of the Borgo Pignano village.
The couple were very lucky because, despite being a day in early November, they found a very nice and not so cold weather. The light was wonderful, suitable for a simple and cool wedding photography. The 'first look', in the back garden of Borgo Pignano, was very exciting as the meeting with the bride's father just out of the getting ready room.
Since the sun would have set shortly, I preferred to take photographs of the couple before the wedding ceremony (blessing). Spontaneous shots while the groom and the bride walked in the gardens of Borgo Pignano.
The wedding ceremony took place in the courtyard of Borgo Pignano, in front of the church. The atmosphere was very nice, a friend celebrated the wedding. The bride and groom were surrounded by bridesmaids and ushers.
After the blessing ceremony there was a short aperitif accompanied by some formal photography with the families and friends.
The wedding reception was done in an elegant tense structure mounted on the back of the main building of Borgo Pignano. The wedding menu was typically Tuscan accompanied by good red wine. The first dance took place inside the tense structure while dancing continued in the internal courtyard of Borgo Pignano where cocktails and artisan gelato were served. The photographic service of the wedding was done in a journalistic style, typical of the reportage to tale spontaneously the whole story of the wedding.
The organization of the event was treated in a masterly way by Floè, a wedding planner based in Tuscany.
