Portrait photography is an art form that allows you to capture the essence of a person in an instant, telling their story through a look, an expression or a detail. This project was born during my wedding photography services, where I chose to go beyond tradition and expand the visual narrative, including not only the bride and groom, but also the guests and the staff who work behind the scenes. Each subject is portrayed with studied poses, against a black background, to enhance their uniqueness and create elegant and timeless images.

The black background becomes the ideal stage to highlight the faces and emotions of those attending the wedding. It is an aesthetic choice that eliminates distractions and focuses attention on the person, making each portrait a work that celebrates the beauty and intensity of the moment. Each shot is designed to enhance not only the external appearance, but also the personality and humanity of the subject, whether it is the groom, a smiling waitress, an excited relative or a musician absorbed in his work.

My approach to portraiture is to create posed and conscious images, where the subject has time to feel comfortable and to connect with the lens. This allows me to capture shots that are not only aesthetically refined, but also deeply authentic. Each face tells a story, and each image becomes part of a choral tale that goes beyond simple reportage, transforming the wedding into a visual narrative full of details and emotions.

My inspiration comes from the great tradition of portraiture in photography. Masters such as Nadar, Richard Avedon, Irving Penn and August Sander have shown how the portrait can be much more than a simple image: it is a tool to explore identity and tell stories. I have made these teachings my own to create photographs that celebrate the beauty and depth of each individual, making each shot unique and memorable.

Photographing a wedding does not only mean documenting the main moments, but telling the entire human universe that composes it. Each portrait is a fragment of that story, an image that speaks of emotions, connections and often invisible details. Whether it's the bride and groom, the witnesses or the professionals who work behind the scenes, every face deserves to be told with care and attention.
